Day One - foam free, large urn class

In August 2018 I was invited over to Ireland to host a two day floral workshop at Springfield Castle by the Flower Farmers of Ireland.

I am ashamed to say that I hadn’t previously been to Ireland and it totally lived to up to my (very high!) expectations.

And their flowers! Oh my goodness, the absolute beauty of all the blooms brought to the classes by every one who attended was breathtaking.

I demonstrated amongst a forest of Ireland’s finest blooms!

Rather fabulously, Holly of Belle and Beau was on hand both days to take all these stunning images.

After an amazing, home made lunch of produce grown at Springfield Castle, everyone set about making their urns.

For many it was their first ever urn, which I was amazed at, they were SO good - see them all below!!

What an amazing day it was and Springfield Castle is just the most beautiful place. (See also Day Two for images of a large scale foam-free installation in the beautiful ruins)

Thanks to everyone who made this a very special few days:

And of course to all the fabulous attendees, members of Flower Farmers of Ireland, who were an absolute joy to be around, with a special mention for Fionnuala Fallon who invited me over and started the whole ball rolling.
