Emma & Chris's Yorkshire Marquee wedding
Emma and Chris got married in a beautiful marquee back in May 2017, on a day when there were storms of biblical proportions, mostly while they were in the church so it actually hardly affected the day (apart from a few false starts coming out of the church!!!).
The set up in the marquee the day before, however, was one of the hottest days of the year and we had lots to do! Hanging floral chandeliers, foliage 'growing' around the marquee, top table installations, plus of course all the bridal and church flowers. The flowers were all wilting, as were we, so much spritzing was to be done (of the flowers and us).

Emma is a designer at Tom Dixon and their beautiful pieces were to be found everywhere, the copper tray for the buttonholes, a light suspended in the marquee which cast amazing shapes on the ceiling in the evening, copper tea light holders, glass and copper cake stands and storm lanterns, etc etc. It was all very personal to Emma and Chris.
Apart from a couple of exceptions (a stunningly beautiful mustard rose being one of them) all flowers were grown within about 15 miles of the venue by local flower growers and farmers.
The wedding was in Emma's parent's garden near Ilkley so it was only right and proper that they had pictures taken on Ilkley Moor (for non Yorkshire folk, it is stunning - you must go!!)
Emma and Chris were another dream client with a very loose brief and who were happy to let me create what I thought would work best for them. HUGE thanks to flower hero's Brigitte of Moss and Stone, Paula of Fox and Thorn and Hannah of Pip and Fawn who were just fabulous and without whom I couldn't have done it all, thank you again xxx
